AliensOnToast's News

Posted by AliensOnToast - January 28th, 2015

So it's been a while since I've posted anything and even LONGER since I've posted anything to newgrounds. I sincerely don't know why: it's just been that busy recently.

BUT NO LONGER!!!!

They Live is now LIVE on Newgrounds!!! You can view it herehttp://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/652538

They Live was created for the Colchester Film Festival 60 Hour Film Challenge. That means that EVERYTHING was created in only 60hrs (yes, I died a little inside). I was very much inspired by Pikachu on Acid and apparently the Rejected series by Don Hertzfeldt (only realised in heinsight).

It also uses the AWESOME music by Caudex and Eagleon, both of whom were great to work with.

I really hope you guys enjoy this one as it was a BLAST to make \( ◕ヮ◕)/*:・゚✧

Later,

Couldn't have done it without the awesome voice work of Markiplier. CONGRATULATIONS BUDDY!! Your magnificent voice is going to Cannes.

Also, none of this would have been posible without the awesome game it's based off, SUPER SQUAT SIMULATOR by Nik Sudan. It's awesome fun and totally worth a play.

Well, that's all for now. Thank you SO much to everyone who's helped out by sharing the video and voting, wouldn't have made it to the Frontpage without you :)

See you guys later,

Bad Taste #2 is out now. Check it out here - http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/633006

I'm really enjoying animating this series as I think it brings me closer to my audience. If you haven't heard, 'Bad Taste' is a series wher I animate jokes sent in by the viewers. I'll be animating one once every 2 weeks (or sooner) and it's entirely based on what you guys send in.

If you want to send in your jokes, simply send an email with your joke to the following email address with the Subject line BAD TASTE. *See below for additional details ▼▼▼

Well...

After 4 years of animating, I'm very much aware of how long animation takes to complete, especially if you're a perfectionist. So, to counter the rediculous time between uploads, my New Years resolution is to upload a video PER DAY to my gaming channel on YouTube.

I'll be playing a whole bunch of games ranging from ones found here on Newgrounds to Triple A games. The hope is to improve my voice acting and my ability to think quickly on my feet, two things which I think are incredibly important for a stand-alone animator. So head over to youtube.com/aliensontoastg and let me know what you think - keep in mind that it's still early in the channels lifetime so things will be rough...

Now for the FREE STUFF...

In celebration of the new channel, I'm holding a competition (though admittedly, not much of a competition). Basically, I accidentally bought two copies of SUPER HEXAGON on Steam so I'm going to be giving it away :) All you have to do is head over to youtube.com/aliensontoastg and comment on ANY video on the channel letting me know which game you think I should play next. Like i mentioned earlier, it could be anything and ANYBODY CAN WIN!!! You can enter as many times as you like and the competition will end on the 22 Jan, 2014.

Competition

Also, feel free to check out my Facebook and Twitter for udates and random things

Good luck and thanks for reading this crap :D

Pool Schmool: Progress Update

Posted by AliensOnToast - September 28th, 2013

Not long ago, in a tiny little town in the south of France, a film was shown. This film dazzled and bewitched its audience and became the hit of the festival. Accompanying this film was Barbouillageville: That Painter Film, the student film that Declan Byrne and I (and a heap of others) spent many a V-filled evenings frantically working on.

Since it's debut at the Festival De Cannes in Cannes, France, the film has traveled the globe, entering film festivals and generally running amok. But now it's here to join the ranks of the internet and it's made it's second debut.

We're totally thrilled by the response that the internet has had to it's debut and still can't really believe that we were frontpaged here on Newgrounds. Thanks to everyone who's viewed and voted on the film here and if you haven't seen it, here's a link for you :D If you found the film enjoyable, there's also a haych dee version on youtube and vimeo.

But wait, there's more. You can check follow the film on Facebook and get all our latest animation related news. You can also check out my twitter and blog as I sometimes actually post things.

If you're real interested in our works, you can also check out our websites here and here.

Once again, a big thanks to everyone who helped us get here and we'll be back with more animation in the future, so keep your eyes open 8|
